Nut Allergy Policy

An-Nakhlah Institute takes the safety and wellbeing of all children and students seriously. We ask all students, parents and guardians to avoid bringing or sending nuts or products containing nuts into the Institute.

We make reasonable efforts to minimise the risk of exposure to nuts; however, we cannot guarantee that our premises are completely nut-free or that accidental exposure or cross-contamination will not occur.

End-of-term parties and shared food

At end-of-term parties and other events, parents may provide food for children to share. As this food is supplied by parents and guardians, the Institute cannot fully verify the ingredients, preparation methods or risk of cross-contamination of every item. We therefore cannot guarantee that all food provided at these events is free from nuts or traces of nuts.

Where a child has a nut allergy, parents and guardians are responsible for assessing the potential risks and deciding whether their child should attend these events. Parents should contact the Institute in advance to discuss any concerns or necessary arrangements.

Parental and student responsibility

Parents, guardians and adult students must inform the Institute of any known allergies during enrolment and notify the administration team promptly of any changes. They are also responsible for providing accurate medical information and ensuring that any prescribed emergency medication is supplied, in accordance with arrangements agreed with the Institute.

By enrolling at An-Nakhlah Institute, students, parents and guardians acknowledge this policy and understand that, despite the Institute’s reasonable precautions, the risk of accidental exposure to nuts cannot be completely eliminated.
